for Gamepad Tester

This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use the Service, and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

Last updated: June 12, 2026
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

Introduction

Selva Sundar built the Gamepad Tester app as an ad-supported app. This Service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is. If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The information collected is used only for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

The app itself does not require you to create an account and does not directly collect personally identifiable information. Controller input shown in the app (button presses, stick positions, vibration tests) is processed on your device only and is never transmitted or stored.

The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Third-Party Service Providers

Links to the privacy policies of the third-party service providers used by the app:

Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements, which keeps the app free.

  • iOS: the app serves non-personalized ads only. We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission, and the app does not track you across other companies’ apps and websites. The advertising SDK may collect device information (such as model, operating system version, and coarse, non-precise signals) to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud.
  • Android: ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your settings and region.
  • European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: before any ads are shown, a consent message is presented in accordance with the GDPR and Google’s EU User Consent Policy. You can decline; the app remains fully functional.

Log Data

If an error occurs in the app, diagnostic information (“Log Data”) may be collected through the third-party services above. We do not directly record or store your IP address. Log Data may include information such as your device’s IP address, device name, operating system version, the app’s configuration, the time and date of use, and other statistics. The collection of this data is governed by the privacy policies of the respective providers (Google AdMob, and on Android, Google Play Services).

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Service does not use cookies directly. The third-party advertising libraries it includes (Google AdMob, and on Android, Google Play Services) may use cookies or similar device technologies to serve ads, measure performance, and improve their services, as described in their privacy policies and, where required, subject to your consent.

Service Providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

  • To facilitate our Service
  • To provide the Service on our behalf
  • To perform Service-related services
  • To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used

These third parties have access only to the information needed to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

In-App Purchases

  • Android: the app offers an optional In-App Purchase to remove advertisements. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play; we do not access, store, or collect your payment card details or billing information.
  • iOS: the current version of the iOS app does not offer any In-App Purchases. If purchases are added in a future update, they will be processed by Apple’s App Store under Apple’s payment terms, and this policy will be updated accordingly.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your information, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary actions.

Your Rights

Depending on your region (for example, under the GDPR in the EEA/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, and to withdraw advertising consent. Because the app itself stores no personal data, such requests generally concern data held by Google; you can also contact us at the address below and we will assist where we can.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective when posted on this page, along with an updated “Last updated” date.
